Headlining the Summer Concert 2020 in Taupo alongside such great acts as Smash Mouth, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Anastacia and George Thorogood and the Destroyers was the Punk Rock legend himself Billy Idol! All the hits were there, with Steve taking the floor to do a few throwbacks like the Top Gun Theme as well as a touching tribute to his father who passed away to Ghosts in My Guitar. Despite having medical issues onstage the week prior, you could clearly tell he was giving his all on the day, and I know these shots will prove it, that he’s still got it.

Performing with great choreography and enthusiastic musicianship, Anastacia and her touring band made an impressionable entrance as the third act for the afternoon! When it came to singing her greatest hits, to calling an early redo on Sweet Child O’ Mine to make sure she’s doing the lyrics justice, it’s safe to say Taupo greatly enjoyed the show they put on!
